There are only 3 working days in the Christmas week this year to get 6 days’ worth of collections done; therefore, it is our intention to have all collections during Christmas week done within a 48 hour window of the regular service day. In practice this means collections can either be brought forward or put back by up to 48 Hours.
In addition, given the reduced access to disposal sites during the Christmas period, there will be no availability for any extra collections to be done during the Christmas week; any extra waste collections will have to be booked for the following week, the first of the New Year, where all collections will be running 24 hours behind.
For customers that have more than 2 collections scheduled during Christmas week, our staff have been instructed to carry out double uplifts on your revised collection days; however, can these customers please ensure that any extra waste that cannot be put into the bin be securely bagged and placed to the side of the bin, not in front or on top, so that access isn’t blocked and enabling our staff to carry out your service as safely and efficiently as possible. Please ensure access to your site or bin store is clear as any missed collections due to no access will be charged.
It is our intention to have all collections caught up and back to normal by Monday 10/01/2022.
